You need the following.
To download the latest version of Netscape or Internet Explorer, click one of the following.

After you download the browser,
1 | Connect to the internet using the software provided by your Internet Service Provider. |
2 | Upon successful connection to the internet, open the browser. |
Only Microsoft and Netscape browsers support JavaScript as well as Secure Sockets Layer which encrypts data sent over the Internet. The GXS TradeWeb service utilizes the security protection technology of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) v2.0. The service CANNOT be used without JavaScript and SSL.
Additionally, "Cookies" must be enabled in your browser. A "Cookie" is a small item of information that a web server leaves on your own computer for future reference, such as answers to Registration questions. This information is read only by the server that created it, and generally has an expiration date when it is automatically erased.
To enable browser options from Netscape, do the following.
1 | Open Netscape. |
2 | On the Communicator toolbar, click the Security icon. |
3 | On the left side of the Security Info page that appears, click the word Navigator. |
4 | On the Navigator page that appears, make sure the following options are enabled. You may have to scroll down to view both options.
An option is "selected" if a checkmark appears in the box next to it. To enable or disable an option, simply click on it. |
5 | Click OK to close the page and return to the browser desktop. |
6 | From the browser's Edit menu, select Preferences. |
7 | On the left side of the Preferences page that appears, click the word Advanced. |
8 | Make sure the following options are selected.

9 | Click OK to close the page. |
To enable browser options from Internet Explorer, do the following.
1 | Open Internet Explorer. |
2 | From the Tools menu, select Internet Options. |
3 | On the top right of the Internet Options page that appears, click the Advanced tab. |
4 | Scroll down to the Security heading. |
5 | Make sure the following options are enabled.
An option is "enabled" if a checkmark appears in the box next to it, or if a dot appears in the circle next to it. To enable or disable an option, simply click on it. |
6 | Click OK to close the page. |
