Service Overview

GXS TradeWeb is a forms-based, entry-level Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Service from GXS. The service enables small businesses and organizations to exchange business documents electronically with their trading partners using the power of their personal computers coupled with the global reach of the Internet and World Wide Web (WWW).

This service provides the following, which are available in English, French, German, and Italian.

All GXS TradeWeb Service subscribers can use the generic Purchase Order, Purchase Order Acknowledgment, Invoice, and Functional Acknowledgment forms. Use of company-specific forms is limited to members of closed trading communities. Only subscribers with an approved trading relationship within the closed community can access these forms.

All of this is possible with the help of a personal computer, Internet Service Provider (ISP), standard Internet browser, and a modem.

GXS TradeWeb offers multiple subscription plans and billing options — each intended to satisfy varying client needs, including international clients.

Service Availability

GXS TradeWeb is available for your use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to ensure maximum performance levels, routine maintenance may be performed at any time Monday through Friday between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM Eastern Time.

On weekends, maintenance may be performed at any time outside the hours of 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time. In the event of an unscheduled system outage, a notice is placed on the GXS TradeWeb Client Support line. If you have trouble accessing GXS TradeWeb, U.S. and Canadian subscribers can check for an announcement by calling 1-800-474-2694 — any system impact notices are played immediately before reaching the regular option menu. Other subscribers should contact their local GXS office.
