Your Personal Directory is similar to an address book. In your Personal Directory, you keep

Remember You must add a business or association Trading Partner(s) to your Personal Directory before you can receive or create any EDI messages.

To view your Personal Directory

1 From your Company Trading Center page, click the Your Trading Partners icon in the navigation frame on the left. Your Personal Directory opens.

2 To view company profile information, click on the company name.

Tip To change the order by which companies are listed, click a column heading. By default, GXS TradeWeb lists companies in alphabetical order by Company Name. For example, to see the companies in alphabetical order by country, simply click the Country column heading.

1 Find the business in the GXS TradeWeb Directory by searching or browsing. A listing appears showing the companies that matched your search or browse criteria.

2 To view more detail about the company, click the company name.

If you cannot click the company name, you may have accessed the Directory from the GXS TradeWeb site rather than your Company Trading Center. Return to your Company Trading Center and access the company from there.


3 To add the company to your Personal Directory, select the Add to Personal Directory action on the left of the page.

4 If prompted, type the company access code.

Remarks

  • Some companies require that you enter an access code before their profile can be added to your Personal Directory. This ensures that only those companies with whom an approved trading relationship exists can send EDI messages to the company.

  • If you have forgotten, or do not know, the access code, call your local Global eXchange Services office during normal business hours..

5 Select the Add to Personal Directory action on the left of the page.



Remove Trading Partners from your Personal Directory

You can remove Trading Partners from your Personal Directory at any time. When you remove a Trading Partner from your Personal Directory, you can no longer address messages to that Trading Partner. In addition, any messages for that Trading Partner currently in your Out Box and Template Library are removed.

1 From your Company Trading Center page, click the Your Trading Partners icon in the navigation frame on the left. Your Personal Directory opens.

2 In your list of Trading Partners, click in the Select box next to the Trading Partner you want removed.

3 Click the Remove action in the navigation frame on the left of the page. A confirmation page appears.

4 Do one of the following.

  • To remove the company, click OK . A confirmation page appears stating the Trading Partner is removed.

  • To cancel the removal, click the Cancel button. A confirmation page appears stating that the Trading Partner was not removed.
